Computers for East Timor
Computers are needed for education in East Timor to enable local people to train to get jobs in government and commerce. Interpeace has been provided with donated computers from Australia, help with packaging for transport to East Timor, and transport by the Royal Australian Navy. Computers have gone to the East Timor Vocational Training Centre in Becora, as well as to some small NGO's and the clinic in Bairo Pite.
Computers are shown here, waiting to be loaded aboard the HMAS Jervis Bay in Sydney, unloaded on Dili wharf, being unpacked at the East Timor Vocational Training Centre, and in use by grateful students there.
Thanks to ACCOR PACIFIC, The Packaging Company, and the Royal Australian Navy for their generosity.
